Situated at the southren end of Topsail Island, off the coast of southeastern North Carolina, the Town of Topsail Beach boasts a friendly, family oriented style of beaching living.
While some may believe that Topsail got it's name from a folklore tale about pirates who used the island to hide. Only their Topsails could be seen from the sea. The name actually comes from New Topsail Inlet which was referenced by J.G. Anderson to later name the developed island New Topsail Beach, and the island became known as Topsail.
Nowadays Topsail Beach is one of North Carolina's biggest attractions boasting a friendly, family oriented style of beach living. With nearly 7,000 seasonal tourist and plently of town motels, resturants, gift shops, fishing piers, and other hotsopts to keep them busy and the business coming.
