When choosing a WordPress theme, it’s best to first decide what content you’ll be providing to the public.
From there on, you can choose a theme that fits your content. There are some considerations to keep in mind though. There is a difference between free and premium themes. If you choose a premium theme, be aware that you’re limited in customization. Unless you purchase it. And in that case, if you do, make sure it’s a theme that is worth the money. If you end up opting for a free theme, then make sure it’s a theme that lets you customize more than just color and fonts. Another thing to keep in mind is to make sure your theme is responsive. You do not want a site that only works on desktop when almost all of the world uses some type of smartphone/tablet. To add onto that, you need to also keep an eye on updates from the theme developer. If something breaks and you fail to update your site, you are going to have a lot of unhappy users.

Great post. The difference between free and premium themes is definitely something people should take into account when looking at themes. The first couple I picked for my site seemed very promising until I realized I would have to pay for the features that I wanted.
Thanks, John!
Hello! Another nice-looking site and a good read!
Thanks, Jason!
Hey Lucy,
I can appreciate the information you’ve shared here about free vs premium themes. I’d not considered these things myself, and you raise some good points as pertaining to the level of customization the user has access to when working with premium themes without making any sort of purchase. Website is simple and clean, keep up the great work.
Thank you, Ryan!
I love your site! It is very sleek and sophisticated in aesthetic and very pleasing to the eye. Your post was great and the link you chose was very helpful.
