I am currently a student at Wake Technical Community College. I am working towards obtaining my certificate in Web Design. My projected graduation date is Winter 2021.

I moved to Raleigh, NC in 2011. Initially, I dedicated my time and effort to taking care of my children. At that time they were 4 and 2 years old. I then realized that I need to finish my studies and follow my passion not only to provide for my children but also to inspire them to overcome adversity and work hard the same way I did. For this reason, I joined the web design program at Wake Technical Community College in 2018. My love for art and design helped me excell in my studies.

I have always been into the creative arts and loved drawing and design. Mixing shapes and colors can make a painting standout, Same thing with a webpage. I always found it easier to express my thoughts and feelings on a canvas than using words. this is the same thing with web design, you always try to convey your message using a combination of shapes and colors that flow harmoniously with the text.

This is my first project in WEB-210 class.I learned how to set up an organized layout , how to pick matching colors and also how to use css to style my page.

This project was one of the assignments in WEB-210 class.The project was about Grid layout. After I learned this concept, I realized how this concept can make things easier. Overall, the assignment was very helpful and easy to understand.

This project was one of the assignments in WEB-210 class. It was about responsive images. I learned how to optimize images and make them responsive to different screen sizes.

I enjoyed working on this assignment so much . After I watched the tutorial I realized how important it is to optimize the pictures to show in the right resolution, and how important is the alt tag. I never used alt tag to describe the picture and that was wrong . It is really important to describe the picture in the alt tag for disability. Overall, the assignment was very helpful and easy to understand.

My first project was Vicious Cycle .It consists of 4 pages. I enjoyed learning how to match colors and how to assemble the contents in a professional way.

I am hoping one day I can help companies and schools in my community have a better presence on the web by having informative and yet attractive web sites. I found out that this is the best way for art and design to work together to help people and the community. One day, my dreams will come true.
